• Woodburning Stove

Deerstalker Lodge has a woodburning stove, logs and kindling can be purchased from the Visitor Centre.

  • Smart TV, SKY box and DVD

Freeview SKY television is installed in all the lodges and SKY packages are provided in some properties.

As general rule your TV remote turns your television set on and allows you to adjust the volume, you then need to press the power button on your SKY remote (this will turn on the green light on the digital receiver) you can now change channels using the SKY remote.

If you wish to use the BluRay DVD player you must make sure the source button (usually represented by a button on the TV remote with a circle with an arrow pointing inwards) is pressed which will select the appropriate HDMI lead found behind the TV.

Please unplug the SMART TV, DVD and SKY box when thunder and lightning storms start.

  • Electricity

Electricity is included in the rental of your accommodation however, we do ask you to be mindful of your usage. Thank you.

  • Hot Water

The immersion heater push button can be found in the kitchen on the wall left of the kitchen sink.

You need to boost daily for 30 mins, 1 hour or 2 hours depending on how much warm water you require and are using.

The water is fresh off the mountain, UV treated and filtered. The colouration is perfectly normal. It is the peat content and provides you with all the natural minerals, nutrients you need and tastes great. Enjoy.

  • Appliances

I am sure you can appreciate that the appliances may be unfamiliar to you.

There should be instruction manuals within your property.

If a hard copy operating manual is unavailable I ask of you to visit Google first for most operating manuals can be found online. If still not successful, I am more than happy to help should you experience a problem with operating any appliance.

  • Heating

Room heating is all by electricity and digitally controlled by control panels on the individual heaters themselves.

There is one thermostatically controlled radiator in each room which can be set to your desired temperature.

Switch on, please make sure the letter "M" for manual is presented on the screen and select your desired room temperature. Optimum room temperature is 19C.

PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY ARTICLES OVER THE RADIATORS - most of you would be saddened by the sight of your holiday lodge or cottage reduced to a pile of cinders on your return from a pleasant day out.
