• Woodburning Stove

Deerstalker Lodge has a woodburning stove, logs can be purchased from the Visitor Centre.

  • TV

Freeview digital television is installed in all the lodges.  Sky packages are provided in some.

As general rule your remote turns your television set on and allows you to adjust the volume, you then need to press the power button on your sky remote (this will turn on the green light on the digital receiver) you can now change channels using the sky remote.

If you wish to use the video or DVD player in your lodge you must make sure the appropriate button is pressed on the scart lead junction box (little black board with 3scart leads coming from it) found behind the TV. To operate the video, some lodges may require you to press the video button on the TV remote as well.

Please unplug the TV, DVD and digital TV receivers when you're out of your lodge and overnight. Also, when Thunder and lightning storms start, please unplug all electrical equipment including the aerial socket into the digital TV receiver and any telephone sockets this is due to the main problem incurred with digital receivers they tend to overheat.
