Doune Castle is a medieval stronghold near the village of Doune, in the Stirling council area of central Scotland and the historic county of Perthshire.

Also well known for its use in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the castle has also more recently appeared in Outlaw King and Game of Thrones. It therefore attracts many visitors. Outlander fans first see Doune Castle when Frank and Claire visit the ruins of Castle Leoch.
